John Fetterman will get better… Oz won’t!
A lot has been made of how articulate Oz appeared in contrast to Fetterman. It’s important to remember, though, that fluid speaking is not the most important thing. Remember that Oz lied to millions of his TV viewers about miracle cures and if we send him to the Senate, we can fully expect that he will do the same to us Pennsylvanians.
Oz has flipped on the abortion issue since he was dispensing medical advice on TV; back then, he was apparently pro-choice. Once he became an Republican politician—for which winning is everything, morality be damned—he discovered he was “100 percent pro-life.” Now that he’s running in a general election, he’s trying to jump back to the old between-a-woman-and-her-doctor territory… sort of.
On stage this week, he called for a decision made by “women, doctors, local political leaders.” Are we going to consult the county sheriff? The Mayor? Borough Councilors? Township Supervisors?
You know he meant the Republican-controlled PA legislature which is only too glad to weigh in… on the side banning it altogether.
